The mission of the Vaughan Homestead Foundation is to preserve and interpret the Vaughan Homestead and its environmental and cultural setting for their historical and educational values, and to make the Vaughan Homestead and its setting relevant, useful and accessible to the people of Hallowell, Maine and surrounding areas. The goals of the Vaughan Homestead Foundation include integrating its various elements, such as the house and history, buildings, grounds, brook, woods and river shoreline, into various kinds of programs and educational opportunities that benefit the residents and visitors of Hallowell and the Kennebec Valley of Maine. |
